Roles and Responsibilities
The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Act as a resource in the Mechanical Construction Division and others to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.
- Establish certified rigger training plan. Lead the training and certification of riggers across all offices and divisions.
- Work with Pre-Construction to provide crane estimates and lift planning.
- Work with Safety Division to review critical lift plans across the Company and provide on-site supervision for critical lifts.
- Work with Engineering and Pre-Construction team resolve conflicts in scope and constructability expectations on Design / Build work.
- Attend Pre-Construction site visits and meetings as needed and gather any required information needed for bid.
- Work with Engineering, Pre-Construction and Project Management to prepare and discuss project outcomes.
- Assist Project Managers with questions and answers concerning rigging and lifting.
- Work with Project Managers on developing and executing lift plans on projects
- Attend jobsite meetings with Project Managers as needed.
- Teach Project Managers how to quickly re-estimate a project so they are acutely aware of the potential issues before the project starts.
- Review and approve third party crane plans and set ups as needed or identified by the Company
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines.
- Customer service, inside sales account management and field sales support experience required
- Detail oriented.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to lead and work with diverse teams.
- Strong work ethic.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office related products.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Associates Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
